TRI COLOUR RICE



Healthy and tasty  Rice with vegetables.
Preparation time- 40 minutes
Cooking time - 30 minutes
Serve - 4-5

INGREDIENTS
1,Jeerakasala Rice(Kheema Rice )
2, Water
3, Salt
4 Cardamom
5,Cinnamon
6, Cloves
7, Fennal seed
8, Chilly powder
9, Palak
10, Carrot
11, Oil
12, Ghee
13, Green chilly

METHOD

1,Wash the rice for 3 or 4 times and transfer  into a strainer  keep aside to drain the water.

2,Take a large vessel add water  Cinnamon.Cardamon,cloves.Ghee and salt

3, boil it.

4,when it starts boiling, add the rice and cook for 2 minutes in high flame then reduce the flame into medium flame,

5,When the reduced and rice is cooked 3/4th remove from the fire
,
6,Heat a iron thava put the utensil on it and keep a heavy thing on the lid and dum for 15 minutes in a low flame,

7 ,Wash  well the palak and remove its stem and grind with green chilly make smooth paste.

8,Grate the carrot,
9, In a large pan heat 2 tbsp of oil and add the carrot ,Saute well add enough salt,
when it has saute well,add chilly power and saute for another few minutes until the raw smell went out.

10 add 1/3 part of rice and mix well,transfer into a plate,

11,Heat 2 tbsp of oil and add palak chilly paste,saute well.

12, when it's oil separates add enough salt and mix well then add the 1/3 of  rice and mix well.

13,Take a square box to set the rice ,

14, First add the carrot rice and pree well with a spoon then add plain rice again press well, finally add add the palak rice,
15, Close the box with aplate  and tranfer the rice in to plate .now the tri colour Rice is ready to serve,
15,Serve the rice with tomato sauce,butter chicken etc.,
